Homemade Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients:
3 - 280z cans crushed tomatoes OR tomato puree (Tomato puree won’t have seeds)
3 heaping Tbls. dried basil Or about ¼ Cup chopped fresh basil
3 heaping Tbls. dried parsely Or about ½ Cup chopped fresh parsley, optional
½ tsp. garlic powder, optional
1 tsp. sea salt
3 Tbls. agave nectar OR natural brown sugar
1 Cup filtered water
In a large heavy bottomed pot or dutch oven, combine all ingredients.
Heat together over medium heat, until mixture begins to bubble.
Reduce heat to medium low and simmer, if possible for several hours, stirring occasionally. (If time is limited, simmer sauce for a minimum of 30 minutes to incorporate flavors.)
If needed, additional salt may be added at the end of cooking time.
